Setting up your Email Account with Microsoft Outlook
Need help setting up your new email account? Then use our easy to
follow step by step guide to setting up your new email account using
Microsoft Outlook.
Step 1. Start Microsoft Outlook
Step 2. Click Tools then Email Accounts
Step 3. Select Add a new e-mail account.
Step 4. Completing your Email Address account details.
You are required to complete all sections of this dialog box before
you can proceed to the next section, once you have complete all
sections click the Test Account Settings ... button to confirm
all settings are correct.
Hint: The Your Name: section is the display name that will
appear when you send emails to recipients, this is the name that
will appear when it is received by others in their email programs.
Tip: Due to Spamming, many ISP (Internet Service Providers) now
require that you use a valid internet access account for all SMTP
Outgoing Mail Servers, rather than just your new email server
details. This is to stop spammers from registering a domain name
with hosting with the intention to spam others. By adding your ISP's
SMTP Server details you confirm that you have a valid ADSL or Dial-up
Internet Access account. Check with your ISP for the Outgoing SMTP
details, many list this on their websites.
Step 5. You're Finished
That's it you are finished and have successfully completed the Add
a new e-mail address wizard and you can start using your new email
address.
